Retro glasses

Glasses have always communicated who you are to a certain degree. For instance, black or strong colour plastic rim used to be a sign of creativity. The last few years we have been able to buy glasses without the ability to improve the eyesight, just to emphasize our style and personality.

I had to wear glasses since I was about 13 years old, I am nearsighted. But at about 16 I started to use more practical contact lenses and forgot the glasses, or better I wear them just at home to watch TV or work on my pc. I never really liked glasses... as it often happens.

But some month ago I found I a new pair that I totally love, for the first time it seems to me as glasses became a “fashion accessory” and less as something you “have” to wear. Because glasses can be really interesting. And personally I'm particuraly into retro and vintage ones at the moment.

Look at these girls: their glasses give a totally different vibe to their outfits! And what's your relationship with glasses?
