The catwalk show featuring the nominated collections made it clear that the competition was tough, but we have to say that it were two worthy winners that received the prizes yesterday.

Cala & Jade

Cala & Jade was our favourite in the accessories category. We have followed the girls behind Cala & Jade for a while, and have always believed that their hard quality work will grow into success. Their Gumma bag has already become an IT-bag in Norway. 

The Cala & Jade designs reflects two contradictory personalities: Cala is the true aristocratic beauty, original, confident and refined. Jade is a strong mysterious flirt, edgy, playful and sensual. See the collections at the Cala & Jade website.

As winners Cala & Jade get a Bjørg Jewellery designed golden needle, advertising in the fashion magazine HENNE, mentor stipend from Innovasjon Norge, distribution through mywardrobe.com and a print from Fineart. We are looking forward to follow them on their expansion route.

Norwegian Rain

We are not that familiar with Norwegian Rain, but a short google session shows that they already have made their mark in their primary target audience: Style-conscious men willing to pay for tailored quality. They are mentioned in places like Dazed & Confused, Monocle and Vogue Italy, and they already have an international distribution network for their stylish tailored outerwear.

This is how they describe their design: "The philosophy is simple. Hard core functional outerwear where we don´t compromise on stylistic preferences. The hi-tech is hidden".

I addition to glory and honour, the Norwegian Rain takes home a Bjørg Jewellery designed golden needle, advertising in the fashion magazine HENNE, installation grant from Innovasjon Norge, PR consultancy from Gambit and sewing machine from Janome.
