Copenhagen Fashion Week highlights
All kinds of expressions were represented at the A/W 2012 week, but all over Copenhagen had a darker edge to it than MBFW Stockholm.
We saw a lot of black and metal grey, some yellow, bright blue and burgundy. Some elements of bright red and pastels combined with burn colours, were also present.
Copenhagen Internation Fashion Fair (CIFF) press show contained an abstract of what we can expect to find in stores autumn/winter 2012. Strong colour blocking, pattern mix and grunge were all represented. These outfits are our favourites:
Spon Diogo won the Max Factor New Talent Award this year. They showed a sharp minimalistic collection with a dark accent. Some bright red were also represented, like in this dress in the middle:
We like Wackerhaus for their combination of pastels and burnt colours, and we love the sassy accessories the models were styled with.
We would like to emphasize the Copenhagen-based Norwegian designer Veronica B. Vallenes for her classic Nordic minimalism combined with a glossy Parisian elegance. Her signature silhouette. She was again successfully collaborating with the jewellery designer Bjørg.
The designer Ole Yde behind the brand YDE drew our attention for their sophisticated elegance. With this collection Ole Yde attempts to bring back the gentle, strong and above all elegant woman.
We´ll get back to more collections from Copenhagen as the autumn gets closer. Meanwhile you can go to Copenhagen Fashion Week to find your own favourites.
